Domestic Flea
Fleas are external parasites, living by hematophagy off the blood of mammals and birds. Genetic evidence indicates that they are descendants of the Scorpionfly family, which are also flightless; accordingly it is possible that they will eventually be reclassified as a suborder. In the past, however, it was most commonly supposed that fleas had evolved from the flies (Diptera), based on similarities of the larvae. In any case, all these groups seem to represent a clade of closely related insect lineages, for which the names Mecopteroidea and Antliophora have been proposed.

Where fleas can hide indoors.
Carpets, rugs, tile floor joints, furniture, cracks between wood flooring, pet bedding, pet resting spots, even under furniture cushions. And while adult fleas are most obvious, pre-adult fleas can account for as much as 99% of an infestation. These young fleas are just waiting to grow into another infestation. That's why fleas must be stopped in all four life cycle stages - egg, larva, pupa and adult.

Why they can't run.
Kwik Kill Exterminators has the products and expertise needed to create a flea-free environment. Indoors it starts with an application of Insecticide, Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), and Flea Spray. Here's how this flea control team works:

  • Insecticides stop fleas in the adult stage, ridding your home of the fleas you can see.
  • Insect Growth Regulator prevents the pre-adult fleas you don't see from turning into breeding, biting adults for up to seven months. Applied early in the season, Insect Growth Regulator can also stop a flea infestation before it starts.
  • Flea Spray helps keep your pet flea free by killing adult fleas and keeping flea eggs from hatching.

Kwik Kill Exterminators offers fast, long-lasting control. And you won't have to worry about lingering odors, staining, or unsightly residue, either. It's the combination you need for a flea free home.
